The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight has pulled out of this year’s Jersey International Air Display.

Planes in the display included a Spitfire, Dakota and a Hurricane, all of which defended the skies over the Channel in the Battle of Britain between September 1940 and May 1941.

In a tweet, event organisers confirmed that the aircraft would not be appearing, citing safety reasons.
