Tickets are good for any night of Dominion Energy GardenFest of Lights. This is a rain or shine event (no refunds).
On Select Busy Nights During Peak Visitation: We will have a Prepurchased Ticket entry for people who have tickets on their phone or in hand for all in their party. This entry will be on nights with anticipated high visitation (Fridays, Saturdays and the week before and after Christmas). Our goal is to get you in the Garden as efficiently as possible so you can enjoy the show.
During Nonpeak Visitation Times: Please check in at will call in the Visitors Center to have your online ticket scanned.

2018-2019 GardenFest theme is Bringing Art to Light.
This year, famous works of art will come alive during Dominion Energy GardenFest of Lights. The exhibition will reinterpret well-known works of art in a spectrum of sparkling color, inviting guests to discover how sculpture, dance, music and paintings are informed by the natural world. Visitors will wander through a festive landscape alight in glimmering radiance and delight in handcrafted botanical decorations, all designed to illuminate nature and her power to inspire.
SPECIAL NIGHTS INCLUDE:
Nov. 23, doors open at 4 p.m.: Dominion Energy GardenFest of Lights Illumination — We’ll kick off the GardenFest holiday tradition with a countdown to flipping the switch on more than one million twinkling lights. After the illumination, stroll through the Garden alight with sparkling radiance and featuring this year’s theme. See website for details on special entertainment and the full schedule of events.
November 26, 27, 28, 29, 2018, and Jan. 7, 2019: Member Nights with free admission for members and volunteers. Learn about becoming a Garden Member; it may be your best value.
Thursday, December 6, 2018, and Thursday, January 3, 2019: GardenFest for Fidos, leashed pets allowed on these two nights only
Monday, Dec. 31, 2 – 5 p.m. New Year’s Eve Family Frolic: Enjoy live music with the “Ululating Mummies,” take photos with the Garden Keeper, make a party hat and “roll in the New Year” with the annual hillside tumble (weather permitting.)
Merry Mondays: Storytime fireside with the Garden Keeper. 5 – 8 p.m. in the Library Reading Room. “Santa sightings” in the Conservatory (Mondays, 6 – 8 p.m. through Dec. 17).
Caroling Tuesdays: Holiday caroling throughout the Garden 6:30 – 8 p.m. Tuesdays.
Artful Wednesdays: Families make theme-inspired crafts in partnership with the Visual Arts Center of Richmond. 5 – 8 p.m. in the Kelly Education Center, Classroom 1 (across from the train room).
Musical Thursdays: Enjoy acoustic musical performances in the Lora M. Robins Library each Thursday from 6 – 8:30 p.m.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Tickets can be used any night of GardenFest. The event is closed December 24 & 25.
GardenFest is a walk-through show. Please dress accordingly.
The event is rain or shine and is canceled only in cases of extreme inclement weather. Any closure notices will be posted to the Garden’s homepage and on social media.
Tickets are nonrefundable and Garden member tickets are nontransferable.
Garden Members must be prepared to show member ID card.
You must have a printed ticket or be prepared to show the ticket on your phone or electronic device.
Parking is free, but it is limited and may fill up on busy nights. If gates are closed, check back in 30 minutes. Carpooling is encouraged!

During the ticket purchase process, anyone using an email address that is not recognized by the Eventbrite system will be asked to set a password the first time. If you have previously purchased tickets on Eventbrite you will not need to do this. You can access your GardenFest tickets from your email confirmation and either print them or show them on your smartphone when you arrive. There is no need to login to Eventbrite or use the Eventbrite App unless you would like to do so, or for some reason are unable to retrieve your email tickets.
