Details of more than 100 people aboard a Flybe flight to Manchester have been taken by public health officials after a fellow passenger fell sick.
The move, described as precautionary, was aimed to ensure those on flight BE3122 from Paris were “fully traceable”, according to the airline.
Images taken by a passenger on the plane showed it surrounded by officials, some of whom appeared to be wearing protective clothing.
In a statement, Flybe said: “As a precautionary measure on arrival in Manchester and following a passenger on the above flight falling sick, it has worked closely with the Public Health England to collect the full contact details from all 107 passengers on board.
“This would allow them to be fully traceable if, in what would be a very rare instance, they might need to be uniquely
alerted by the authority at some point in the future.”
