Phoebe Waller-Bridge has won the Emmy for best writing for a comedy series for Fleabag.
Taking to the stage in Los Angeles to accept the prize, she thanked her “Fleabag family”, paying tribute to the “incredible cast” who “brought incredible heart to this”.
Waller-Bridge added it was “reassuring” that a “dirty, pervy, messed-up woman can make it to the Emmys”.
Game Of Thrones leads the way in nominations and is the only show to be recognised in all seven drama categories.
On the comedy side, political satire Veep will be hoping to go out on a high after its final season aired earlier this year, but it faces tough competition in the form of Fleabag and The Marvelous Mrs Maisel.
