A man has been rescued after falling 80 feet down a cliff face in Jersey.

Emergency services were called to Cheval Rock at Bonne Nuit just after 9am this morning, where a worker was reported to have fallen.

A firefighter and paramedic were lowered down the cliff face to assess his condition.

The man was given immediate emergency care for head, leg and back injuries before being taken to hospital.

At the height of the incident over 30 emergency personnel were utilised and demonstrated all emergency services working together to achieve the best possible outcome.

We would also like to remind people when working at height at home or in the workplace to ensure it is safe to do so by utilising safety rails or work restraint harnesses.
