Young islanders are being invited to design a rugby shirt to be worn by the Jersey Reds at a game this year.
The competition is part of Durrell’s Go Wild Gorilla trail to raise money for a new gorilla house at Jersey Zoo.
Badongo, the gorilla statue wearing a rugby shirt, was placed at the team’s clubhouse in St Peter last month.
Categories for entry include 0-6 years, 7-11 years, and 12-16 years. The winner of each age group will be given a family membership for Jersey Zoo.
The overall winner will have their design made into rugby shirts for the entire Jersey Reds team for a home game on Saturday 9 November.
The closing date for competition entries is 13 September 2019.
